While my 1st gen motor is still on the engine stand wanted to take a look at the pin, question is my gear housing has a step in it where the pin is and not flat like I see in most of pics. My motor is a 91. The kit I see comes with a flat oblong washer and wont work for me. Any suggestions???? Thanks...

 

Just use a piece of stiff wire or just fab something else that will work. Read this.

Thanks MCB. Your case is just like mine, the case bolt is recessed. will sort thru my junk box and see what treasure I can find to fab a keeper for the killer pin...
