HX35 cast elbow - fits?

HX35 cast elbow - fits?
Wondering if anybody who's done a HX35 swap has kept the cast 45-degree elbow on it? Does it clear the firewall? Would a 2nd-gen downpipe still fit? Best way to have an exhaust brake?
I see PacBrake has an alternate 4" elbow. With brake and without. Anybody run these?
