i heard you could use roofing tar for bed liner because it is stronger than any bed liner out there. my question is it gonna be safe to use because where i live it gets really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter. will it melt if it sits on the sun? also thought of mixing sand into the 5 gallons and making it textury??

 

im sorry but thats about like asking if you could use a plastic bag for a condom. yes it might work but it would look like crap and probaly not bring pleasure . yes roofing tar will soften if it gets hot enough.

 

Don't do it, It's gonna be a mess the first time its hot out and you put something back there.

some old shade tree guy suggested it as undercoating so I tried it thinned it down with laquer thinner made a hugh mess and had to scrape it off . Please dont do it.

 

i've seen it used for years as undercoating. but in a best would be a mess and takes forever to dry out. and everytime you or something touched it you'd get tar on you.

 

ya it was a bad idea so i didnt use it went out and bought herculiner and did it!
