i just had some trans work done an mine seems to be high in the rpms going 70, and i dont remeber it being that high befor. it runs about 2400 rpms at 70-72

 

Thats really high... On my 2001 auto its under 2000

 

About 2100rpm at 70. Do you have little tires on it "undersized"? Overdrive off does what?

 

i have over sized ones. 34.5 i pulled the tunes off an it still seems alot higher than when i drove it back from NC

 

With 35's it was runnin at like 1800-1900 and the speedo was dead nuts accurate. With the stock sized tires its runnin at like 2200 and the speedo's off by 5mph.

 

I run 35's at 1900 rpm

 

I have 35 inch tires on my 01 and it runs about 1900 at 70 mph

 

mines turning 1975 at 70 mph with 265/70r17s. sounds like overdrive is locked out. mine will turn about 2400-2500 with overdrive locked out.

 

Correction, When my gps says im going 70mph my truck is running between 2300 and 2400 rpm. When the speedo says im going 70mph im running around 2150rpm. I need to get taller highway tires. I got 65k till I can get new ones
