I know that everyone says this is going to cost alot of money but here is what i ran into, the guy i bought my truck from has a 4wd ext cab long bed 3500 dodge and hes taking the cab off and the tranny and engine and giving me the rest of the truck for 800$, so i have the frame suspention everything. i just need to know if i can use my 2wd transmission and bolt on this 4wd transfercase. if i can im going to use his frunt axle and my rear axle (both 4.10 gear ratio) and just swap it all onto the 4wd frame and run it. just hoping the transfercase bolts onto my tranny

 

5 speed trans? if so you will have to change the tail housing on the case as well as the main shaft inside the trans which requires taking the trans 90% apart but it can be done and those 2 parts alone are not all that expensive and i have them in stock could ship tomorrow

if its an auto trans again you would have to change the tail housing and the output shaft but that would require tearing the trans apart also

 

mine is the 47re auto transmission, and im useing a transfercase off of a 5speed 47re i think, i hav not got to look at the parts truck yet not sure how many kinds of trannys they came with
