EV2 fuel pressure gauge flutter
Has anyone experienced erratic pressure readings after installing a FASS system?
I had a Platinum 150 pump installed on my 02 recently. The shop that did it, moved the sending unit about 2 feet from the VP in the fuel line. So the gauge is reading pressure from the FASS. ( I had previously installed the gauges from schrader valve at VP)
Since then my pressure gauge flutters between 15-18psi, non-stop. No matter how I drive or what I'm towing. idling, cruising, doesn't matter.
Here's the strange thing. The truck has been back twice, because I think they fucked something up.
1st- they installed a new sending unit, bled air
2nd- they installed a new sending unit and a snubber, bled air
BUT each time they tinker with it, the gauge will hold steady as I drive away from the shop. It's not until the following morning on the way to work that it starts acting up. The shop claims that it's normal, but I have been in alot of 2nd Gen 24's with gauges that DON'T do this.
Has anyone else seen this? How do I fix it permenatly?
Note: Not sure that it matters, but the truck goes back yet again due to fuel leaking from top of tank after a hard drive.

the gauge should be hooked up just before fuel enters the vp like you had it move it back and dampen the fuel down to the sending unit till the gauge just barely works it shouldn't flutter well mine doesn't.
If I leave it as is, what will it do to the gauge in time? I'm thinking I'll be replacing pressure gauges every couple of months
Most folks move it back, it really won't effect the reading. You can but a snubber to dampen the fluctuations. But I wouldn't worry about moving it
Already has a snubber and a new sending unit.
that didnt work either until about a week later.......then all of a sudden wa-la it works
called ISSPRO back and asked them what it might have been....they asked if i bled it correctly and i told them i did........they responded......"here in about a month we will be bringing out a new Mechanical EV2 gauge" and that they would send me one......if they follow threw with it ISSPRO will be my only choice for gauges...thats customer service!!!!
Sorry for the hi-jack
