Default power? whats holding me back?

96 12v swapped the auto for a built nv4500, 4gsk, 5x12 sdx injectors, no plate, afc housing full forward, star wheel in the middle, afe intake, 4 in turbo back, electric fan, 60 lb valve springs, air dog 2 150 with 1/2 fuel lines set at 35 psi. i hit 28 psi wot, about 900-1000 degrees max, and can get about 3200 rpm is that all about where i should be or is the 180 pump holding me back, thinking about a charger maybe 2 soon also with head studs and ringed to try to wake it up. still feel like i should have more then what it can do now. what power range im i looking at. its pretty slow to spool up and smoke is controllable tho. any input on what needs to be done to wake this thing up a bit. Is there anything left over from the tranny swap that might be doing this like throttle position sensor? thanks

Do you have a boost elbow? You should be able to hit 35 psi.

Have you verified the afc arm is coming foward with boost? Gov springs tight enough? Throttle linkage moving correctly? Exhaust leaks ? If not its got to bee timing.

it wont smoke for **** if the springs are too loose (NO POWER). just had that issue. your stock charger should light almost instantly. mine does. 35psi all day long and you dont really need head studs and fire rings till after 45lbs or bunches of timing. 900 degrees seem awful cool to me at WOT???? i think you have a fuel issue, has it always been like this or did one mod change it? is the shut down sylonoid all the way up when the truck is running? fresh fuel filter. do you rev to 3200 under a load or just sitting in your driveway?
