Default Plate or no Plate

So i recently purschased my 94 cummins and was told that I have a no. 6 ground plate, 100 horse injectors and air dog lift pump. I have been talking to many people that are running no plate with stock injectors. Should i remove my plate all together? I dont know how much my pump is turned up. I want to squeze all the power that i can before going on. Any input would be great. Thank you all for the help.

scribe some mark in, pull the plate, if ya like it, run it. if you done...put it back in! long as oyu have a pyro. i found no plate to be way too smokey. I couldnt change lanes with any amount of throttle, I'd black a highway out (oh yeah...and it was HOT on EGTs). I ground a zero andput it back in and got the EGTs comfortable now, i would say I lost a little top end punch, but it is way worth it now. the best way to figure it out is start messing iwth it, really hard to screw anything up, especially if you make a few marks ss you can get it back where it was

Yeah I agree with what he said. I wish I would've scribed marks on mine before I messed with. Now I have to guess. Just make sure you at least get the pyro in before you start messing with it.
