I have an 04 duramax i just went through and put all new brakes.The issue im having is that everytime im pulling my trailer and hit a decent bump in the road my service brake soon light and the ABS light come on and start dinging.thanks for the help

 

What are the codes?

Did it do this before the pad change?

Did you replace anything that required bleeding the brake system or did you flush new fluid through the brake system?

 

Yep check the ABS code... That will tell you exactly what the issue is. Maybe you knocked one of the sensors on the hub loose or something

 

Yes it did it before the pad change.But no i have not bleed any of the brake components.I pulled no codes on the abs system with my scanner.Also it is kinda odd because when it chimes off sometimes it will just chime for a second and then shut right off.Then again it will chime for a couple minutes straight other times.

 

Did you check it with an ABS scanner? A regular OBD II scanner does not read ABS codes...

 

Well it is a solus snap on scanner and I went to the ABS option but no codes popped up.Nothing in the code history either.Could their be a short in the abs computer maybe cause it seems that it only happens when you hit a pot hole or something.
