Default Quadzilla High EGTs and EGT adjustment

Just got an Adrenaline with v2 monitor and experincing high egts. on stage 6, by the time I hit 65mph at WOT the edge will be showing 1300* and start defueling (set at 1300). I still have my analog pyro gague installed and it reads ~200* lower than the Adrenaline but not sure which one to trust. Also, in the settings there is an EGT adjustment, if you can adjust your EGT readout how can you calibrate it or get an auccurate reading?

99 cummins 24v: auto, exhaust, Adrenaline, FASS HP lift pump, boost elbow on hx35w.

I am so lost, do you have 2 programmers and an analog gauge ?

Take your temp probe out and clean it off, i couldn't belive the difference in response time and temperature difference.

I have the analog probe and the one for the adrenaline. But they read different, and the egt is adjustable in the settings menu on the adrenaline so I'm not sure how you can aucually tell what the true temp is without a calibrated pyro to check it against.

Alright il give that a try. The old analog one is slower to respond than the clean new one so that may be part of it.

Also I have been reading that temps of 1400 for a short time are not uncommon while racing. Gets into how High is too high for EGTs...

1600 is the "death limit", any thing over that for anything more than a " short burst " is no good. I generaly try to limit to around 1350' range. I can rocket out some nasty EGT's pretty quick when i'm WOT, or pullin a hill, just turn it down a notch, or back of some timing, and you'll drop them EGT's,

I went to an S300' charger, so i'm a little faster spoolin than stock and roll around 40 pounds of boost,

I noticed my old turbo timer took forever to shut the truck off, when i switched to the quadzilla, it took half the time, cause the old pyro is coved in soot,

I'm too lazy to re-tap the manifold for two pyros, so now it's monitering engine bay temps, which you';d be suprised to see how warm it gets under there,

I reduced the timing from the defualt 8* to 7* and set my egt defuel to 1400 and it seems to be working better.
thanks for the tips.

if i'm not mistaken all of the tunes from quadzilla were set at 8*.

I like to run about 6* when i'm beatin on it, or plan to do anything more than commute,

Altho right now i have my mileage tune cranked to the hills at 15* and never let the thing come above 15 PSI of boost ( foot limiter ) and it seems to be doing just fine. i checked the data log of the iquad and managed to make a 10 mile trip up some decent hills without going over 9' PSI, altho a slow trip' i made it.

I don't know what more you could do then that !
