depends on where you live and where you go usually in colorado 75 bucks passes any truck cause diesel emissions are all idependent companies some countys dont even have emmissions here

Had my done recently, the smog tech says he stabs the throttle to bring the engine upto 2500rpm, if the smoke "visably lingers" for more than 3 seconds if fails... Seems a little too subjective to me...

Well I failed then... Took about 30 sec for the smoke to clear

Did you try the smarty on "0"??
Worked like a charm for me, doesn't drive well like this though... haha
