Those "Replacement turbos" on Ebay for cheap, $300+-/ are they any good? not to be used as a high horsepower rig but for the occasional tow and daily driver. looking for a replacement for my hx35w on a 97 engine. the truck /92 chevy dually crewcab with 6bt/ has a 47rh trans, might do a small HP increase but nothing radical, just want a truck with nice power and don't want to roast it if towing 10k lbs on accasion,, lrt me know what you all think, I know they aren't holesets but even the hx35 uses bushings instead of bearings. I can't afford the best right now or I would get an aroura or something like that,,Thanks: Bob

 

Don't risk it. They're made in china with cheap materials.

kind of what I was thinking, how about the Rebuild kits listed on there, that is another route I could take

 

I never looked into the rebuild kits on eBay before. Keep in mind you can get a d-tech 62mm for right around $1000 shipped. I run one as the top charger in my compound setup

Don't buy one. A friend of mine bought one and its the cheapest pos ive ever seen. The compressor housing was porous and the shaft was pitted like it sat in water before it was assembled.
