Default My VGT setup.

Ok I now have this same thread on six forums. Probably set a record.

I think I have it dialed in pretty good right now. lights almost right away, makes 45psi. Mods are, ground fuel pin. pump almost maxed,(unknown injectors) procomp lift pump, timing to the head and 4" exaust.
With this turbo I hit 1700* at 85mph in 4th gear. before the turbo and the timing I could hit 2100* in 4th gear. A few more mod's are in order but I'm getting closer.

If you didn't know this is a he351vgt. I'm useing drive presure to open the turbo, a spring to close it and boost to balance it out. I have a filter and a needle valve on the drive presure line.

It's kind of hard to shoot a video of it while driving.

You'd need to go a bit further south and east for that.
Huntinguy, what all did you do to that turbo before you put it on?
Did you clean the soot out, or anything?
Wouldn't want to see you lose it like you lost the last one.

Mark.

I took the exaust housing off and cleaned it tell the collar moved freely. Used diesel to clean it. I'm not worried about this one blowing up, It's in good shape.

And uhh.... you could probably fined a still around here.

I have very similar set up and also ran an ebay boot right off the comp. housing. Now i am afraid the heat from the compressor will pop a hole in the boot. Let us know how that red boot holds up being that it changes the direction of air but the heat keeps pounding the wall of the elbow, eventually it will pop.

That looks sweet! What is "drive pressure" - where do you get that off the engine?

on mine drive pressure runs about 1-1. max drive pressure is about 45#, I run 35# of boost at wot.You take it from the exhaust manifold.
