1998 12v starting issues

My buddies 1998 12v is having some major starting issues we have replaced the starter and new batterys and all it wants to do is click and won't turn over any help would be great

You may have a starter relay thats bad. Or you may have a wire that you forgot to put on when installing the new starter.Just a start.

Ground wires are soooo important. Check and re-check any and all ground wires.

loadtes it at the starter some times wires go bad

are you sure the starter solenoid is clicking?

just a free easy check- if you turn the key on do you have backup lights when the truck is in reverse? if no then neutral safety switch is bad
