My friend has a 07.5 3500 6.7 sometimes it has no boost or ex brake and then 5 10 mins later it starts working just fine and sometimes it don't work at all. No check engine light or codes. Has all the deletes done to it and has the smarty 14me. Could it be the smarty acting up or turbo going bad or vines sticking? Please Help

 

The vanes are sticking, so you can either get it cleaned or start looking for a new turbo.

dang thats an old tune i would update the smarty they have like 23 or 24 now does it still have the butterfly valve bolted to the intake

 

yep the vanes are sticking but shouldnt it bring up a code for that like the 2262???

 

clean the turbo and still does not work the vanes move freely i think the box on the side of the turbo is bad
