Default Exhaust Delima

Ok I now have silverline's 4" turbo back duals. I just have the muffler. It sounds good but I want the turbo sound out the pipe and the down spool. I had MBRP 5" straight pipe before and it had great turbo sound; just a little too loud for me. My question is, if I straight pipe this exhaust being 4" duals, will I get any turbo sound out the back? And will straight piping my exhaust be very loud? I don't want the loud drone which is why I got rid of the 5".

I hate to tell you this but you should have kept the 5" and put a 51" Donladson muffler on there. That's what I did to mine and the drone is gone but I can still here my turbo even at idle. A 4" straight pipe is going to be raspy compared to the throaty of the 5". You could try it though as it won't cost you anything to just test it.

I straight piped my 06 and the drone was unbearable....the Mega even has a resonator which I left on....

No load not too bad, but hauling a trailer was horrible....it even rattled the mirrors under load....Muffler back on now.....(I have no cat as well, this might make a difference).

I just removed everything from the downpipe to the tailpipe then added back in with 4" pipe to a 4" straight through muffler for semi and attached the tailpipe piece to that. The sound is hearable but fairly quiet, in other words it sounds like a semi truck.
