Default Weak throttle response.

I have a 2001 new injection pump, lift pump, no codes set.
Starts and runs but acceleration is weak til I hit 2200rpm then lites up.
Completely stock. I going to do a leak check between the turbo outlet and air horn.
But this turbo is not spooling good up til 2200. Pressure just off idle is about 3psi and maybe about 5psi at 1500 it will reach about 20 at about2500

Try resetting the APPS. Disconnect the batteries, turn on the key to drain the power, and leave disconnected for 30 minutes. Then reconnect the batteries, turn the key to the on position but do not start! Push the gas pedal slowly to the floor, and then slowly release it (should take about 5 seconds each way). Then turn the key off and it should be reset.

Sounds like a case of a stock Cummins. and 235hp.
Try and reset like above and let us know.

Hes not getting any codes. I think he might be use to driving that duramax around. I remember how laggy my cummins was when it was stock.

Some ideas:
Is the MAP sensor clean?
Is the AIT sensor clean?
Did you adjust and/or reset the APPS?

also id check fuel pressure if you haven't already mine did this when my LP went out and it would cuase the turbo to stall and not boost that may also go with it too as there is no sensor saying your LP is out or low fuel press
