Default What programmer do I need?

I do alot of hauling with a 32 ft gooseneck. I'm not into hot rodding but I'm looking for a lil more hp. Had a bully dog and liked it but went thru 2 motors. Was always on towing mode. Can't say the programmer was the cause but took it out anyway and sold it. What programmer would be the best for just towing

Thanks. I have a buddy who has a smarty in his dodge and really likes it. Which one has the best safety features?

Edge, I love my smarty as well but for safty theres none It relies apon your foot and your better judgement to let off where the edge has turbo cool down, warnings and the chip wont activate until the truck is to operating temps as well

Banks is cutting edge. Great stuff, but very pricey. Edge raises rail pressures, and in my humble opinion, shortens the life of your injectors. Smarty performs well, and I haven't heard many complaints regarding their product. I'd go with the smarty. When I had issues with my Edge e-z, their "fix" was to try to sell me another module. Personally, I won't spend another dime on any Edge product... Cummins does offer upgrades-that are covered by warranty...just a thought.

My Smarty raises pressure as well, to the tune of 27500 psi... No issues, the truck has seen that kind of rail psi since 25k and now I have 125k on it...

I love my smarty! I got the POD. Its good stuff man as stated it has no real guages or safegurads however it works well and at 60hp increase it does good on temps. I think you can get the smarty jr and you will be happy with that. for around the same price as a smarty jr you can get a TS MP8. It works well and is a comman stack with a tuner. its also simple with a dial to rais or increase the power. Dont over look DR Performance either they have some nice stuff that may fit your bill. I will probably get an MP8 and stack that with my smarty.
