when i get on it it seems to be surging. this only happens under a hard acceleration tho. is this a turbo problem or am i looking at injector problems or possibly ficm. will cleaning the turbo help as well as the egr valve while im in there. what is the best thing to use while cleaning?

 

what egt setting do you have it set to defuel on the Edge? could be reaching that temp and defueling

 

Yeah like Bob said, check your settings. If it's not that, I'd clean both the EGR valve and the turbo if it was me. Sounds like it could be either one. For cleaning the EGR valve, a brush and some brake cleaner. Make sure you either use new o-rings for it or take really good care of the ones on it. I'd just get new ones, they can be had at the dealer. For the turbo follow the directions in the link below. You'll use some 3m scotbrite type drill bits.
