Default Smoky haze coming from oil cap ?

Is this normal? It doesnt throw it on my hand, you can just see it with a light when shining down in there. Truck has kinda got a lil more of a rattle lately. Took bypass oil filter off and it seems a lil quieter. Not sure if the oil coming in on top of engine at oil fill cap has anything to do with it or not. Could it be time for the valves to get adjusted? 107,000 miles.

Ok thanks. I figured with the bypass and the better oil coming in on top of the rockers it would help and quieten it down. Guess not.

I think my rattle has got a lil worse lately. I'm now at 107,000 so I just got done adjusting every thing under there. I went by the directions from another forum. Adjusted intake to .010 and exhaust to .020. It seems the rattle is still there. Any other ideas?

Keep an eye on your oil level. you may have an injector going south. mine hung up, and filled the crankcase with diesel. The oil pressure tanked at idle, and when I removed the oil cap, there was a lot of vapor.

A little blow-by is normal...its when its literally huffing out the oil fill that you have issues.

What bypass did you have??
