I have a 97 with a number 5 fuel plate and modified boost valve the truck hits OD under normal driving conditions and just takes off problem is on uphills if i accelerate a hair to much the torque from the motor will just slip the trans not sure what kind of power im making but some where in the nieghborhood of 300hp and 750 ft. lb of torque roughly just wandering if there is any semi inexpensive way of making my trans handle alittle more of that power????? as long as your tranny is in good shape itl help ya handle some more power without having to rebuild it,id go ahead & rebuild the transsmision while its out but that aint really all that cheap

 

A valve body with a good converter and flexplate. A single disk billet convertor will hold 600 horse and down.
