Hey guys I was out playin around in the snow the other day and switched my auto 4wd to 4x4 low to climb a little hill. My hubs were locked and the 4x4 worked perfect but when i went to switch it back to 4x4 high it wouldnt get out of low. I couldnt even put it in 2wd. I have had this problem before and all I did was play with the switch and put it in park. After about 4-5 mins it kicked out and went back into 2wd. Anyone else ever have this problem with 4x4 low? it goes in and out of high in seconds everytime. Any help would be great thanks.

 

You can only switch in and OUT of 4x4 low in neutral. 4x4 high you can switch whenever. Next time, put truck in neutral, switch to 4x4 low, wait for light, then put in drive or reverse. Taking it out of 4x4 low, do the same, put to neutral, wait for light to go out, then put back in drive/reverse or whatever.

 

Yep put it in nutral and some time it helps to back up to dissengage.

i had a similar problem. but i just wasnt pressin the brake hard enough.
