Should I get a holly black or airdog or fass. Does this really help with power and MPG. I was told i have the bigger injectors but i dont know how to check for sure, will there be a stamp on the injector if I pull one out. my deisel mech said I should not need it on this truck.91.5 d 250. pump tweekd, dennt t pin. bhaf, 4 to 6 exhaust. all gauges up and running.

I think what your meaning is should you get rid of you mechanical lift pump?

not your VE > which is your injection pump the truck wont run with out that

Theres no real way to check unless there branded they could be anything from SDX to DDP to 370's give me the numbers off them

do you have an intercooler? being you say its a 91.5 I would guess so

I would go airdog IMO I have one on all my rigs and sold LOTS of them they work flawlessly and the filtration is awesome not to mention there is NO lack of supply

there is no real reason to get one based on your setup you dont have many big power mods if I were you I would go piston style lift pump they will make up to 300-350HP and there about 300 bucks less than an airdog

only thing he could gain from an air dog would be the removal of entrapped air in the fuel in turn make the girl quiet down a DB or two, and when big bad said a "piston pump" he meant the low pressure one. not the one that is meant to feed the P7100 which will blow about every seal you have in your IP. if you look around the site there's multiple threads that have the pump # and what it takes to install one.

No, it won't... to a point. It won't make a difference to your mpg's, but as BBD said, it's not until you start getting towards 300+ that you're going to need to upgrade your fuel supply. The VE is capable of sucking it's own fuel down to 0psi, but it's definately not recommended. Even a stock truck would be well served by a low pressure lift pump.
Bigger injectors? Meaning the 9mm bodies? I can't remember when they went to a 7mm....

So what's the fuel pressure doing? Knowing that is always a good place to start with fueling issues.
