Default piece of crap turbo?!

here goes, ive cleaned out my turbo 2 times in the last 2 months. on my manual tranny between 3th gear and 5th somtimes i get too much boost, other times i get no boost. and now when i let off the throttle petal the boost will stay in the manifold and turbo fart at 10 psi????????. can i switch my vgt controller with an 03 turbo. is it the engine oil? the plug in is clean and tight, when i rebuilt it i used 1800 degree antiseeze. any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way this site and forums ROCK!

Just had my turbo rebuilt for that same problem, got it cleaned, and new housing and sensor. Fix the problem. Is your truck under warranty?

I'm not following here... why are you cleaning it so often? How many miles on it? Turbo fart is common these, especially with a manual trans. You build boost up, push the clutch in, boost has no where to go but back out the intake...

i was cleaning it often thinkin i put too muck antiseeze, or mabe not enough. 111230 on the truck 1200, since i last cleaned it. when im going down hill when i let off the trottle petal, leaving it in gear and no clutch play it will take at least 30 to 40 seconds to drop 10 psi and at 10 to 15 psi it will fart? i took it on long road trip recently and the problem stoped so im guessing i dont drive it long enough..... in the 15 minutes its driven daily i have a habit of trying to get the trottle petal throught he floor. that along with rising fuel cost will likely stop.

You should keep working it good. It's really the only thing that keeps the turbos from seizing on themselves. Maybe it was just too much antiseize not allowing the turbo vanes to move freely. I'd run it if it seems to be clearing itself up.
