I have an 02 cummins and my ABS is acting up.

Here is what its doing...
When trying to come to a stop sometimes the ABS will engage under very light braking and not allow my truck to stop. I have to jam the pedal with all my strength to get it to break the ABS cycle. Sometimes after this the ABS and Brake lights will come on but they go out within a half hour. Any Ideas on things i could start looking at to track this problem down? Are there any known problems with the ABS systems in these trucks?

I have never heard of any major ABS problems with these trucks. First off I would see if someone with an ABS scanner can tell you which sensor is acting up. There is one on the front hubs, and one in the rear differential also.
