Shut Mouth power steering and breaks

I have a 01 that the stearing got hard and the break pedal gets real soft. it is almost impossible to turn the wheel when pressing on the break. put a new power steering pump on it and did not change a thing on the way it acted

have u loosened the hard pressure line from the pump to the brake's? or steering whiles its running to see if you get any pressure and if so trace it from where ever it goes first to the next place and see if there is pressure there

it almost sounds like your booster because dont they control the pressure for both steering and brakes? mabye there is a valve or something stuck internally that is dumping pressure

i havent looked into doing it myself but i would probably just buy a new one. im would bet there is a bunch of stuff in there that wouldnt be much fun to play with. and if that is the problem you might have something internally that is broken, scored, worn out or cracked that you might not ba able to fix once you get in there.
