Sad 06 cummins missing probs

Yesterday i finished my cross country trip to michigan. Yesterday i thought it was missing at idle but still running fine on freeway. Today i have a major miss. I changed the fuel filter. I drained the water sep. Still the same problem. Any ideas?

Mine would miss bad a few weeks ago and would white smoke bad at start up until I put it in gear a go. I'VE NEVER BEEN A BELIEVER IN FUEL ADDITIVES BUT, I used Stanadyne fuel additive (they make injectors too, I heard), and after I ran a tank with it, it hasn't missed or smoked at all ever since.
It's probably a temporary fix, but I can't buy injectors right now so I've been happy with the results.

I have owned 7 Quad cab cummins Dodges 2003, 2 2005, 3 2006 and now a 2008 and they have been the best trucks I have ever owned. We hauled signs all over the 48 states. The main problem I had was loose injector tubes. they make you smoke, loose power, miss, stall, think you have bad injectors and a bad CP3 Pump and a bad lift pump. These lines are very easy to tighten if you are even just a little mechanically inclined. You have to hold the tube with one wrench and loosen the line with the other and then tighten the injector tube.

Try some good diesel cleaner, there are a few on the market. If that doensnt help in the next few tanks I would lean towards an injector or the tube.
