GRID HEATER QUESTION
Is is normal for the grid heater to kick on and off wile warming the truck up? I just noticed my heater clicks on and off wile i let the truck warm up. I just got the truck a few weeks ago and never noticed this, but i also have been pluging it it until today and it's 9degrees out right now

Well after searching I found this
"The grid heater is triggered by an air temp sensor in the intake manifold. It only comes on when the air temp is below a set point. In colder temps it comes on before starting, and will sometimes (really cold) continue to cycle for a short time after starting."
So if this is true then I am ok due it being so cold out right now Wind chill is 8 degrees outside

It is very normal for the grid-heaters to cycle on and off during the initial warm-up of our trucks.
Pending the intake air temperature, the PCM may cycle one, or both elements as needed.
