Default Torque Management

I have been reading alot about torque management, and i was wondering how i could get rid of it on my 99, i have looked at the bd rad, but it says it only works for the 2000.5 up trucks, ive tried doing a boosted launch but it defuels and stutters, i am getting 125s, my transfer case and transmission rebuilt. So i wanna get the defueling taken care of before i do another one. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Never heard of it or not sure what your asking but I can boost launch my truck HARD. Or just brake torque it up for smoke making. Mine is a 99 automatic also.
Just figured I could help because we have the same truck...

Mine does the same thing. How much boost are you trying to launch with? 5psi seems to be OK with my truck.

mine also is a 99 and mine doesnt lag now. it use to, im thinking what your feeling on a low psi boost launch is turbo lag it feels like a defuel but its not. even on higher psi lauches it will still lag some. if you have twins or a lot of fueling and timing mods it will go away. but if your still on a stock turbo its for sure gonna lag on a launch.

The smarty gets rid of the torque managment doesnt it, and maybe the Quad ADR too. I know the comp boxes dont, both of our trucks will defuel unless the rear wheels are turning.

The Quad will not. At least it won't on my 02. I can't even build boost with my turbo.

I don't think the Smarty removes all the TQMAN. But I think it removes most of it. I could be wrong about that.
