i'v got a 98.5 cummins with a dead pedal/ run away pedal. got a p 1693 and p0122 code. Truck was runnin fine ti'll one day i got the dead pedal, but it comes and goes. truck runs like its misfiring and cutting out. sometime when u barly touch the gas pedal it will run away on me. anyone have any ideas? i put a new apps sensor and a pcm and that did'nt fix it.

 

1693 is just a companion code and 0122 is voltage low TPS

try to reset the APPS

turn key on dont start
slowly press pedel to floor
slowly release pedel
turn key off
start and drive

well i tryed the reset the apps it did'nt do anything. but the companion code came back as a bad pcm. plus my scan tool said it wasn't reading the apps sensor. so i got a new one and had it flashed. but the truck still runs away when u touch the gas pedal?

the companion code is nothing, ya get that with everything

 

alright i'll give it another shot.
