I checked my block yesterday & it has the "53" stamped on it. The motor has 217,000 & I can not find any cracks. I looked under the the turbo from front to back,top to bottom. Is there any place else that they might crack. Also with this many miles do you think i'm in the clear.

with your miles i think you are fine, they seem to crack at about 100k from what i have read. and if it was cracked you would know it!

 

From what i read there is a LOW percent of cracked blocks but better safe then sorry. However since you have al lot of miles I would assume your fine!

 

Whit does your truck have a 53 in it? I see you chime in on all the 53 block threads!
