Default need some help

i bought a 1993 f350 7.3 non turbo diesel i got it for 500 bucks and the guy said it over heats and i thought the head gasket was blown but he said theres no water in the oil and theres no somke or water comming out of the tail pipe so now im really lost can any one help me

fan clutch, water pump, thermostat. all could be the cause.

i would start with the thermostat. only run motorcraft or IH stats. all others are known to have issues.

if it aint leaking it into the motor or outa the motor and runs ok it aint cracked.
