So i installed an AD 150 over xmas break and everything went fairly smooth until i got into my truck and started it up. When i started it up my fuel level gauge stays pegged at empty and i know i have more than half a tank. I have taken the fuel tank off again to see if the float was caught on the new pick up tube and to check the four prong connector on the top of the collection basket and every thing checked out fine i just cant seem to locate whats causing my fuel gauge to not work. If anyone has any helpful advice as to where to look at next id grately appreciate it.

 

I'd venture to say its catching that wire piece that the float is attached to that Ls off the collection basket.

 

when i had it out of the tank this last time i plugged it into the wiring harness and held the float up and the guage still read empty, i checked the connector for power with the key on and none of them had any, i dont know if the float needs power for the guage to work, i already cut the power to the lift pump

 

Your float is a resistance switch. Reads in Ohms. I think its zero Ohms empty and 90 Ohms full.
