99 dodge Water temp ?

Default 99 dodge Water temp ?

Hey Guys I got 99 dodge my temp jumps up o about 210 220 and back down 180 does this mean my thermostat is getting weak ?

At idle, driving, happens every few minutes or what are u doing when it shoots that high? My modded 99 runs 190ish most of the time, it does occasionally jump above 200 but that's rare

Probably thermostat. My truck runs 190 driving and 200 towing. But it is consistent, always between 190 and 200.

just driving Down the road it normal be at normal temp 190 then it clim out of no where to 210 and stay there for a few seconds then drop back down it does that repeatly

When is the last time you changed your coolant? I'm leaning towards a t-stat problem but id flush your system to make sure nothing is clogging it. While ur in there, change out the t-stat

Thermostat never been change been in there sense factory and Fulids a year ago

make sure your coolant level is full too.

Lmao Um buddie its full trust me LOL i a few semis that have ISX cummins i know my way around trucks and diesels i check my fulids every day , I just never seen this or understood why on my little cummins my temp be jumping around like this Like i say it has to be the thermostat i just wanted to get some more opinions is all ten Fo
