Default Stock ve pump setting

Does anyone know the factory specs for all the adjustments on the pump?

Bought a 92 w250/auto 4x4 about a month ago and I am not sure if the pump has been tweeked or not.

I'm not going to be able to afford a service manual until after the 1st of the year.

Any help would be great. Thanks

well a good indicator is to look at the top of the pump if the plastic cap is still on top prolly means it has not been messed with. Also check the pump timing there is marks one the pump and on the block if the timing has not been advanced then they should like up exact

The cap looks like it has been pryed off.

That's why I was looking for info on the stock settings.

Alright well under that cap is the smoke screw i never really messed with mine turning the star wheel up made it smoke enough. However when you look where the cap would have gone you will see a nut then an adjustment screw on the inside. There really is not an exact position in which the screw was set from the factory. Just that in stock form they smoked very little and usually under high load. Does your blow alot of black smoke or very little? Also what are you going for do you plan to mod your pump or are you trying to set it back to factory?

The truck doesn't smoke at all.
After I get my gauges installed I would like to tweek the pump a little.
Going to be towing a 8000 travel trailer at the most.
The is a posibilty, here in california, that I will have to smog it some day and there for have to return it to stock settings.

thanks for your time.

i thought smog there in cali was only on like 97 and newer trucks. also you can advance the timing that will get you better mileage. also more power without smoke take the top of the pump off and rotate the fuel pin to it's deeper setting this will give much better power and is easy enough to return it to the stock settings if need be
