Oil cooler?
hey, I seem to have a bit of oil in my coolant recovery tank... truck runs perfectly, and the coolant level isn't changing, or hasn't in at least 5000 miles... I know the oil cooler has some o rings on it, etc, and wondering if that could be a source of the oil... in my experiences head gasket leaks are typically into a combustion chamber and will really eat up the coolant, and pressure oil gallery to water jacket leaks on the head gasket are pretty rare as well.. I know it's not easy to tell, and it's not much oil either, but a person would rather not redo a head gasket to find out there was no problem either
the oil doesn't look black in the recovery tank, and this is a M/T truck... no oil seen under rad cap, and no humidity seen in filler neck
I don't think I was every brain dead enough to confuse the 2 fillers either :P

well, considering it must be a tiny seepage leak, and I'm not losing coolant, I'm going to leave it well enough alone until I notice something getting worse... it's crap weather out too so it might wait till summer too
