front axle wrap
my front axle twists really hard when i launch the the truck in 4x4. the other day i was messing around in the driveway dumping the clutch in 4x4 in 1st gear and everyones jaw dropped when he saw the front end lift and the axle twist. so i had my brother jump in the truck and basically launch the truck in 4x4 so i could watch what everyone sees that's so bad. the front axle really twists really hard, to the point where im worried about my u-joints. i didn't think i would have to worry about this on a 4 link truck, if my link bars bushings are worn out, will new ones really take all the twist out or is it because i have a 4" lift kit with the stock link bars? i was thinking the lower link bars being too short from the lift kit causes the axle to change its pinion angle when it reaches full droop. i cant tell if its the pinion angle changing with droop from the fact that the truck practically pulls a wheelie or if its the power thats twisting the axle around.
does anyone else have this same issue? should i be too concerned? i always wanted a truck with a solid enough drive train and axles to do a ***** to the wall 4x4 launch in and it seems my dreams are being crushed here

you guys on the diesel bombers forum have never heard of a 4x4 launch? have any of you been to the drag strip? when you wanna get a good time theres no choice, either dump the clutch in 2wd, twist the rear axle and blow the tires off or put it in 4x4 and cut a good 60ft time. theres really nothing wrong with a 4x4 launch, i just need to know how to get the axle wrap to stop, a 4 link setup really shouldn't have problems like this. i think it has to do with poor geometry of the 4 link, but id like to see if anyone else has had this problem before i go and build a set of lower link bars.

well since everybody just wants to criticize u, i'll try to help with what little knowledge i have. have u checked the bushings in the link arms? with a 4 inch lift i think ur bars need to be about 3/4 of an inch longer to keep the axel centered in the wheel well. thats prolly where id start
