Default 12 Valve with schwitzer s300

I just bought a 97 dodge with that semmes to be very slugish. It has a schwitzer s300 turbo with bd power on flange and 4" strait pipe. the rest of truck seemes stock. It just does not have good power, im thinking the pump might have to be turned up to get turbo to spool up. I would apreciate any advice.

Still has dummy bolt, air cleaner new, fuel filter new, no smoke white or black from exaust. I also inspected turbo and end play seems ok. I have no experience with aftermarket turbos. But truck has no noticible turbo whine and has about same power as old 6,9 ford. Thank you!

i would say get into that pump and get that plate out of there or get an aftermarket one...better make sure you got a tranny or clutch to hold the extra power and some gauges to watch temps

you need alot more fuel to light up a larger turbo like that, your not putting enough volume or heat into the exhaust housing to spool the turbo up. turn the starwheel all the way up and remove the governor plate or buy a 0 plate. theres a sticky at the top of the forum titled something along the lines of turning up your p7100 or something like that, very simple job to do.

sounds like a BD super single to me. Grind yourself a 100 plate or a 10 plate and push it foward and fiddle with your AFC some and get your timing set to about 15-16* and that turbo will be awesome.
