Default Smarty problems

I just borrowed my cousins Smarty that he has never used and put it on my truck. No matter what level i am running i dont get hardly any power gain. I updated it last night with the revo program thinking that it might help but it is still doing the same thing. I get a little puff from a dead stop and then it almost immediately clears up with minimal power gain . Any help? I had a quad adrenaline and that thing was awesome until the circuit board fried. It worked great. Truck is basically stock now.

Have you used the smarty to check for any codes? And are you sure it was never used and not vin code locked?

Also check your fuel pressure. No controller in the world can add any more power then you have fuel enough to make.

The vin is not locked. It goes through the whole installation process and then says successful update. Idk about the fuel pressure. I dont have that gauge. I did install a new fuel filter in it today hoping that it was just a stopped up filter but it provided no change

Not finding any codes either. Only code i have is a map sensor code for the smoke switch.

i just pulled the smoke switch off and cleared the code. I have been slowly buying gauges just hav'nt got the fuel pressure yet. I know its the important one but try telling the old lady that when the fuel pressure is the expensive one.

Fuel pressure gauge quick, mounted where you can see it all the time. I'd bet your LP is dead and or your VP. Not movin enough fuel to support the extra HP. Should cost ya less then 30 dollar to have it installed.

You could have already toasted the injection pump and I would guess your lift pump is shot. Hope not!
