Default Batteries

Now that it is getting cold, my 12 yr. old stock batteries are showing their age and are unable to start my truck after a cold night.

Do you need to replace both batteries or would it be okay to do 1 at a time. Was thinking of putting in an Optima Red Top but could get 2 cheaper ones for the same price.
thx.

You cannot replace 1 battery at a time. The weak one will drain the good one.

Optima Red Tops - group 34/78 is what you need. You need at least 800 cca.
