Default Is '03 preferred

Being in the business where dodge trucks are seriously used and abused I have seen several '06 models have catastrophic engine failure while still in there prime. Around 150000 miles. Is there a mechanical difference in this year model to warrant this or is this just coincedence? Why is the '03-'04 model preferred?

Only thing we have seen is more injector issues with the 03-04 models.
