I just bought my second 1st gen the other day. Its a 93 D250 with an automatic. The truck came with all kinds of accessories for towing including airbags, factory heavy duty transmission oil cooler and heavier springs. The most interesting is a jake brake made by Jacobs for Cummins. I don't have any experience with these and since it's not working I was wondering if anyone knew any more about them or where I might find any more info so I can get it working. The system wont do anything when the switch is flipped. I haven't started to troubleshoot it yet since I don't know a whole lot about them. Any more info would be great.

well i would make sure its plugged in that always helps hahahahaha

 

Vacuum pump is a very common prob with them. Pull the line off while the motors running to see if she's sucking
