How bad is it going to hurt and what would I need to do if I cut the muffler off and added straight pipe?

removing the muffler will not hurt anything. the exhaust note is louder, but still not like a gasser with a straight pipe.

they are bad ***. try unolting the exaust anywhere first then rrunning it in the driveway sounds sick i love it.

What about removing the muffler and moving the tail end forward? Would this work or would I have to cut it shorter to do that?

You'll probably have to do some cutting and welding. I doubt that you will be able to just move the tail pipe forward due to the bend over the rear axle.

if you dont mind cleaning the rear tire a bit more, just have it exit before the rear tire like this.
