Hey all, a buddy of mine has an 06 F250 and his EGR valve just took a crap on him. He is thinking about getting an EGR delet kit, our main concern is weather or not he need to have on for annual Smog/ inspection. Also what kit should he get.

 

go on ebay, rcd are on sale for 225 for the kit...

 

I got my RCD from ebay for $185 shipped. Use the make an offer option if they have it. RCD gets my vote for the best inexpensive kit. If he doesn't mind spending the money, I'd look at FCDP, or GoGo. GoGo is the top of the line in my book.

Check with your local laws first. As far as I know California is one of the only ones smog testing.

He will also need an SCT with custom tunes to turn the check engine light off after an EGR delete.

 

ive got a sinister delete kit and its never given me a problem..

like mdub said check ur local laws. im in tx and i dont get sniffed here so no worries for me. if u dont mind my asking what state is he in so we can narrow down what laws ur gunna have to deal with

 

The H&S Mini Maxx will also take care of EGR delete codes on the 6.0L now. Very nice tuning and no downloads required once you get it like the SCT. They also offer free tune upgrades and have some of the best Ford transmission tuning I've seen yet.

I put one on a customer's truck a few months ago and he loves it. Just another option SCT works great.
