i bought a truck a while back. first week the fuel pump went out (i thought) but i talked the guy a few days back that sold me the truck and he never had trouble. it had an edlebrock blue electrick fuel lift pump and the stock lift pump and what i wonder is if i ran out of fuel cuase i know that guage aint working now may nota ben working then. i know alota guys run these pumps for proformance and i have noticed a prety major change since pulling all the fuel pumps and puting a replacement one on the side of the block. no smoke unless i start in third. not nearly as powerfull acceleration and especialy 65+ it feels like my trucks the gutless wonder and im out of ideas... any ideas??

 

You need to get a fuel pressure gauge ASAP. Then report back to us. They should be mandatory on our trucks.

 

i got that done a few weeks ago. it was sparatic. i tried once got to 38 and shut the pump off. then tried again after some adjustments and got 16 then again to double check and got over 25. it should be around 17 i think but not sure.. btw the guage is accurate i borrowed it from a friend who just got it calibrated not long ago
