Default I am looking for a 7.3 rebuild kit

I have come across a 7.3l idi i want to rebuild and turbo then put into my 84 f 250 im trying to find a place that sells a full rebuild kit with pistions, rings, berrings, cam, all gaskets, timing chain, and oil cooler, and anythign else i might be missing. i cant seem to find this except for not full kits on ebay and they are asking around 1200 bucks without pistions. im just wondering the best place to go to get parts and since i plan on turboing it should i put forged rods or any other stronger parts in it while im there. thank you mike.

why not put the turbo on ur 6.9?

only place i know of to get complete kits is from IH or ford. not gona be cheap. also i would get the 7.3 apart first to make sure u dont have to bore it or sleeve it. 7.3's are prone to cavitation on number 7 cyl. best thing to do would be sleeve that cyl before anytyhing can bore threw the walls. every jasper reman has this done.

before tearing into the engine, block off the coolant hoses and pressure test the motor. if pressure drops, could be headgasket or cavitation. only problem is the motor might look good, andu rebuild it. 1-2 months later it can cavitate. u cannot tell. it starts in the cooling passages.

Hello, I would like to ask something in connection with rebuilding an 7.3 IDI engine.

I'm looking for parts to do it. I found everything but I can't find new head bolt kit and oder bolt kits either. I don't know the reason of it, I have found bolts for every engine, but not any for this 7.3 IDI.

Can somebody help me, where could I order this items?
I mean an internet warehouse or something like this....

arp makes head studs( way better than the bolts) for around 300 bucks.

Thanks. Yes, I found that, but it was listed to the newer powerstroke engine. Can I use them for IDI also?

High Performance Powerstroke Products

i would call up arp, see what their price is, or request a qoute to the vendors here. top of the forums is a request a qoute page.
