tranny advice please!

Default tranny advice please!

1999 cummins puttin down around 470hp with a rebuilt tranny but its goin to fast i have to baby it to shift out of gears and when they do shift its RUFF got a quote for a ats stage 1 but dont realy wanna spend $3800 bones. would i be ok with just gettin a performance torque converter and valve body or should i just man up and get the ats
ANY ADVISE HELPS!thanks

You should get an improvement with the T/C and valve body. Install those two, adjust the bands and see what you have. If nothing else, it is two items that ATS won't have to replace if it does fully fail.

That will help but if you go with a triple disc converter you will need to do the billet shafts throughout the tranny because you will break the stockies. If you do a nice double disc converter you can get away with factory shafts. And I would like into BD's tranny rebuild kits or trannies.
