ok so my buddy bought a 94 cummins single cab 8ft bed the guy said it had a cracked head but it fired up ran mint no issues at all we drove it home no leaks no nothing is there a way to tell if there is a crack or do you think the guy was b/sing us?i mean if it had a crack it wouldnt run right or am i mistaken all info is good thanks

 

Is it a cracked block or a cracked head? How many miles are on it?

Anything is possible.

 

miles are 370,000 but it runs an drives mint an idk to be honest if it was it wouldn't run correct?

 

It would run just would have white smoke, oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil. If the head is cracked. But if the block is cracked it will leave puddles on the ground.

 

i had a 1994 brazilan block and they get a hairline crack by the back freeze plug passenger side i drove mine for years like that they dont always leave a puddle mine would dry up from the block heat but near the end it would leave drips mine started at 284,000 miles check your water levels when u drive it oh and mine ran great with the crack hope this helps

 

i have no puddles no white smoke no smoke just pure soot when we floor it it runs beautifuly tho i think the guy just had no clue what he was doing with the truck or it just had to much sack for him
