Upper Ball Joint
I need some info to replace the driver side upper ball joint on my truck. I replaced the passenger side last year. I need to replace the driver side now and the local shops as well as Chevy dealers are telling me I have to replace the upper control arm also.
I know that is not 100% correct because I replaced just the ball joint last year, I just cannot remember which year I bought it for.
Any ideas?

Sorry buddy, I don't have a OEM replacement. When the OEM's go south we swap in a after market UCA like for your set up being CST a CST Pro Joint UCA. It is pricy but worth it. I don't personally feel that the OEM upper ball joint is strong because they are pressed in and I will not back it due to seeing to many guys popping ball joints out of the UCA. Not safe, but that's just me. You can get OE replacements from Moog I just don't offer them, OR you could replace the factory UCA with another factory UCA that is used/low miles as another option.
