My 98.5 Dodge Cummins has a low fuel light on it been like this sence christmas of 09.I replaced the float in the tank and and got new sensor. I have a superchips flashpaq the ones where you can clear codes and what not I plugged it in and cleared the code but the needle fell right back down to empty I dont get it?? Could it be the gauge cluster bad or a short somewhere? Please help!

Sounds like a problem with the wiring.Start off by checking the wiring from the tank to the front of the truck.
